WHO
WE ARE
Since 2001, Asas e Amigos has been working to rescue, treat and shelter wild and domestic animals from trafficking and ill-treatment. Today we have about 530 animals under the care of the veterinarian and president of the NGO, Dr. Marcos de Mourão Motta, who devotes most of his time and money to offering comfort and quality of life to these animals .
MISSION
Receipt, care, treatment and surgeries of native animals seized by IBAMA, Military Police of the Environment of Minas Gerais and IEF / MG - State Forest Institute of Minas Gerais, victims of trafficking in wild animals, mistreatment, trampling on roads, with serious health problems, neglected, disabled and mutilated as a result of human cruelty and several other cases in which most of them will not be able to return to nature. Rescue, care, treatment and surgeries of domestic dogs and cats, victims of abandonment, cruelty and accidents aimed at recovering and valuing animal life as well as the interaction between man, animal and the sustainable environment.
